My grandfather passed away about eight years ago from cancer. While he was still living, he loved wood-working, bicycling, and collecting and reading books. Over the years, he collected hundreds of these little western novels, and when he passed away, left them with no specific instructions. When my grandmother moved out of the house, she needed to find a place for all these books. Seeing no way to keep them, she was planning on discarding them all. My mom stopped her however, and thinking that some people would enjoy reading them, introduced the ‘brilliant’ idea of selling them ALL on eBay. Grandma consented to the plan and graciously gave the multitude of books to my family to do with as we wished. We brought them to our home, filled bookshelves with every intention of emptying them soon, and left them there for over a year. Now being a little less busy, I have begun to make an effort in finding good homes for these volumes.
By selling these books, I hope to gain experience and save up for a mission’s trip to Japan.
