A very unique look at the past .... who we were and how we thought. If you've never heard of "THE WHOLE EARTH CATALOG", you probably wouldn't like it.
This is a paperback catalog in very good condition. The pages are a bit off-white, but not yellowed and not dog eared or worn. A subscription form was carefully cut out from page 143. There's one very small rip in the cover page. You can barely see it in the upper right hand corner of the front cover picture.
Purpose of the Catalog (as quoted from the catalog): "We are gods and might as well get good at it. So far remotely done power and glory -- as via government, big business, formal education, church -- has succeeded to the point where gross defects obscure actual gains. In response to this dilemma and to these gains a realm of intimate, personal power is developing -- power of the individual to conduct his own education, find his own inspiration, shape his own environment, and share his adventure with whoever is interested. (not very politically correct in 1970) Tools that aid this process are sought and promoted by the WHOLE EARTH CATALOG."
